Anointing of the Sick:
Brings
the healing love of Christ. In case of an illness or hospitalization please call the Parish Office.
Baptism:
Pre-Baptism classes are held every other month beginning in September. The
number of participants varies generally from 25 to 30 couples per session. Meetings are held on a Thursday night for approximate.
1-1/2 hours. First-time parents are required to attend the meeting. God parents and Grandparents are strongly encouraged to
attend. God parents should attend the Pre-Baptism class in their home parish if they are unable to attend at St. Pius. Contact

Baptisms are held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of
the month following the 11:00am Mass.
First Eucharist:

Confirmation:
For information regarding your child's Confirmation, please

Formation, Ext. 152. For information regarding Adult Confirmation, contact Mary Sue Lone, our Coordinator of Adult Faith Formation
(RCIA), 515-276-2059, Ext. 134. If you have a student in high school who has not been confirmed and would be interested in
attending a class with other high school students preparing for Confirmation, please contact Barb Mease, our Youth Ministry
Coordinator 515-276-2059, Ext. 128.
Marriage:
One person must be a registered
member of the church. Contact St. Pius X church office at least 6 – 9 months prior to your wedding
to inquire about church availability and to begin the marriage preparation process – 276-2059 or contact Linda Schroeder,
the Wedding Coordinator, at weddings.stpiusx@mediacombb.net
Steps after contacting the church:
1. Meet with a parish priest – 276-2059
2. Return wedding contract
with fees to reserve your date
a. Non-refundable facility fee - $250 for parishioners.
This includes the services of the Wedding Coordinator at the rehearsal and all day for the wedding.
b. Refundable damage
deposit - $150
3.
Both parties complete the FOCCUS assessment
4. Meet with the Wedding Coordinator
5. Complete Sponsor Couple
meetings (usually 3 – 4 meetings)
6. Submit certified baptismal certificates to the church for the parties
who have been baptized (issued in the past 6 months from church where baptized)
7. Submit music selections
for approval; submit wedding program for approval
8. Apply and receive marriage license.
Sacrament of Reconciliation:Saturday morning following 8am mass and Saturday afternoon 3:15-4:15.
