Habitat for Humanity

Our web page is “under construction” (kind of like the house we are building), so check back often!

Welcome to the St. Pius X / Habitat for Humanity web page.  Here you will find everything you need to participate in this deeply rewarding volunteer experience.  Please consider how you might be able to put compassion into action with this parish-wide project.  Together we can all help a family build a dream of owning their own house.

Volunteering

St. Pius Habitat for Humanity Steering Committee is seeking help from parishioners with time, talent, and financial support on this project.

There are many ways to become involved:

Build day volunteer

Onsite meal volunteer

Devotional volunteer

Food donation

Financial support

In-kind donations: supplies or specialty services

Monthly offering envelopes

Prayer support

Company donation match

Committee member

Getting started couldn’t be easier...

The first step is to contact Dennis Rau, the Lead Volunteer Coordinator. Dennis maintains the volunteer schedule, and he will match your abilities and interests with the opportunities available.  He will also send out information to the volunteers confirming their work schedule and include the waiver that needs to be signed and brought to the work site.  Dennis can be reached at (515) 278-4605 or at frogsrau@avalon.net.
